Your optometrist will prepare you for wearing contact lenses during an initial 3-stage fitting phase:
- 1st 30-minute appointment: the optometrist will give you an eye examination and carry out all the necessary checks to ensure that contact lenses are suitable for you. They will advise you on the best solution, and then they will let you try your first contact lenses.
- 2nd 30-minute appointment: after a few hours, the optometrist will check that you are comfortable with the lenses and familiarise you with how to insert and remove them.
- 3rd 15-minute appointment: the following week, the optometrist will check that everything is going well, make adjustments if necessary and answer any questions you may have.
This initial contact lens fitting phase costs CHF 150.-.
